Burger King Scholarship
Burger King has a $1000 scholarship available to an eligible senior. To be eligible, seniors must have at least a 2.5 overall GPA and work an average of 15 hours per week. The Council for America's First Freedom announces the 15th annual First Freedom Student Competition. This first-semester national essay contest offers 9th - 12th grade students an opportunity to compete for $3,000, $1,500 and $750 awards, as they examine the First Amendment and the history and relevance of religious freedom in America and the world today. Senators have invited selected participants to prepare a research essay to be read at a congressional hearing on the topic: "Free exercise is an essential component of the First Amendment's definition of religious freedom.
